The beating heart of our KiDS Ministry is to see kids put their faith in Jesus and start on the narrow path walking with him. As we care for children of all ages, we have the joy of participating in different levels of discipleship. Whether that is reading a picture book of Noah’s Ark in the one year old room, or memorizing scripture with the 2nd and 3rd graders, we get to see it all! We are constantly learning what it means to grow the Kingdom of God within the context of children’s ministry. And we believe one way to walk alongside parents in their child’s discipleship is by pouring into 5th graders.
KiDSLEAD is a leadership program for 5th graders who desire to follow Jesus Christ whole-heartedly. Students who participate will grow in their faith by learning how to use their hands & feet for Jesus. Our hope is they will enjoy the act of serving other and graduate with a heart posture that proclaims “leadership is servitude”. We believe through this program, we are setting up these students to become faithful church members who understand that like Jesus, we are to serve those around us with a cheerful attitude, a humble heart, and a confidence that only comes from knowing Christ.
The KiDSLEAD Program is a one semester commitment.
Eligible students must be current 5th graders in the 2025-2026 school year.
There is an application followed by a brief interview with training that each student is required to complete prior to serving.
Once accepted into the program, students must be present for two services on Sunday mornings so they are able to attend one (in class or in the main service) and serve in the KiDS Ministry for one. This is an added level of commitment from your 5th grader, but also an added level of commitment from you as parents. We hope you see this as an opportunity to grow alongside your student as you commit together to serving your church through KiDSLEAD.
